Happy Earth Day! At The Blueberry Books, we're committed to our planet's wellbeing, which is why we proudly support Trees That Count, an organisation dedicated to restoring native forests and combating climate change. As part of our ongoing commitment, we pledge to donate a tree to Trees That Count for every book purchased this April. Together, we can make a difference!
To celebrate Earth Day and our beautiful planet, we've also created a delightful DIY bunting project.
Materials
Newspaper
Blue and yellow paint
Paintbrush
Sharpie or pencil
Scissors
Twine
Needle
Instructions
Begin by painting the newspaper with blue paint. While its drying, mix yellow paint with blue to make a vibrant, earthy green colour. Then paint the green paint on top of the blue base. Set aside the painted newspaper to dry completely.
Once dry, use a sharpie or pencil to draw circles onto the painted paper, then cut them out.Thread the twine onto the needle, then pierce the top of each circle with the needle. Weave the twine in and out of each circle, spacing them evenly along the twine. Tie a small loop at each end of the twine, allowing you to easily hang up your bunting.
With this fun Earth Day Bunting project, you can promote environmental awareness with your littlies. Happy crafting, and Happy Earth Day!
